  1. Roof joists to be sloped a minimum of 1/4" per foot and maximum of 8" per foot. Reduce spans 3'-8" for slopes greater than 8:12. Maximum slope allowed is 12:12.

  2. Spans shown are for simple spans only.

  3. Maximum deflection is limited to L/180 under total load, and L/240 under live load.

  4. Live load reductions have been applied in accordance with standard engineering practices. Verify local building code requirements.

  5. Spans are based on horizontal clear distance between supports.
