  1. 16" and 18" deep beams are limited to two and three piece beams (single members are not permitted).

  2. Table values are based on uniform loads and the most restrictive of simple or continuous span. Shaded areas represent load conditions controlled by a continuous span. When properly fastened together, double the table values for two piece beams or triple the values for three piece beams. Reference inside front cover for connection requirements.

  3. Total load deflection is limited to L/180 . For stiffer deflection criteria use the L/240 column. To limit total load to L/180 and live load to L/240, the beam must be checked for both loads in the appropriate columns.

  4. Table values assume continuous lateral support of the compression edge of the beam and lateral support at the ends and all bearing points.

  5. Roof members shall be sloped a minimum 1/4" per foot for drainage.

  6. Reference the bearing length chart on back of product guide for required bearing length.

Please see the StrucLam Installation Guide for additional information.
