Notes:
- Hanger capacities may be less than the StrucLam LVL
capacity. Therefore all applications need to be checked to verify adequate hanger
capacity.
- Hanger capacity depends on the hanger selected, quantity and
size of nails used and the size and type of support to which it is fastened. Please refer
to hanger manufacturer's literature for capacities, installation requirements and
alternative hangers.
- Fill all nail holes with proper nails. Full bearing required
at hanger seat.
- The specifications above are for Simpson Strong-Tie hangers.

- Bearing across the full width of the beam is required.
- Bearing lengths are based on 700 psi. Bearing length must be
adjusted when allowable bearing stress of support member is less than 700 psi.
- Structural adequacy of supporting member is assumed.
