For Sl: 1 psi = 6.89 kPa

  1. Adjustments to allowable design stresses, except for E and Fc l , shall be in accordance with the applicable code. Increases in Fb for repetitive member use shall be 4 percent.
  2. Values are for plank orientation with a maximum 3.5 inch (88.9 mm) depth and for joist orientation with a 12 inch (310.9 mm) depth. In joist orientation, adjust Fb for other depths by (12/d).1333. For depths less than 3.5 inch (88.9 mm), use the value for 3.5 inch (88.9mm).
  3. Values for Fc l are based on 0.04 inch (1 mm) displacement per ASTM D 143.
  4. Tension value are for a 4-foot (1243 mm) LVL length. For longer LVL lengths, the value shall be adjusted by multiplying by (4.0 / LVL length In feet) 0.125. For lengths less than 4 feet (1243 mm), use the table value for 4 feet (1243 mm) .
