Woodtech Stile & Rail Door Limited Warranty

Doors manufactured by Woodtech Trading are warranted for a period of two years for painted exterior doors and lifetime for interior doors from the date of shipment. Any door that becomes defective in accordance with this published warranty will be repaired or replaced. If repair or replacement is not practical, Woodtech Trading will refund the full, original purchase price of the door. This warranty does not cover refinishing or rehanging costs of the replacement door. If exterior doors are not painted, do not have an overhang and/or are exposed to direct sunlight, warranty is limited to craftsmanship and quality of construction.

There are no warranties that extend beyond the foregoing, and the manufacturer's responsibility under this warranty as stated herein. Woodtech shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from the manufacture, use, or sale of these goods, or for any amount in excess of the manufacturer's price for goods provided at the time of sale.

Written notice of any claim must be given by the purchaser to Woodtech within 30 days after receipt of doors. Woodtech must be given reasonable opportunity to investigate the reported defect before initiating corrective measures.

Maintenance
To insure coverage under this warranty, maintain the following as required:

1. The finish on all door surfaces

2. Any required adjustments of hardware including fasteners.

Tolerances

1. Size tolerance: thickness +/- 1/16", length +/- 1/16", width +/- 1/32".

2. Squareness tolerance diagonal measurement difference will not exceed 1/8".

3. Factory hardware preparation tolerances +/- 1/32" for hinge, lock, and strike preps.

4. Warp will not be considered a defect unless it exceeds 1/4" in the plane of the door itself. For doors 1 3/4" or thicker, warp will not exceed 1/4" in doors 3670 or smaller, nor will it exceed in any 3670 section of larger doors. For doors less than 1 3/4" thick, warp will not exceed 1/4" in doors 3070 or smaller. Warp is measured by placing a straightedge on the concave face and determining the maximum distance from straightedge to the door face.

Storage and Handling

1. Store doors flat on a level surface in a dry, well ventilated building.

2. Cover doors to keep clean and avoid discoloration with an opaque covering which does not allow light to penetrate. Covering must allow air circulation.

3. Do not subject doors to extremes of heat and/or humidity. Relative humidity should be not less than 30% and not exceed 60%. All doors should be conditioned to average prevailing relative humidity before hanging.

4. Handle doors with clean gloves and do not drag doors across one another or across other surfaces.

Finishing Instructions

1. Before finishing remove all handling marks, effects of exposure to moisture, and raised grain by block sanding thoroughly with 180 grit sandpaper.

2. Immediately after fitting and sanding, and before hanging, seal the entire door on all six sides with two coats of a good quality paint, varnish, or lacquer.

3. Do not use water based finishes or combination sealer/stains.

4. When finishing the joints where wood parts or glass come together, insure that enough paint or sealer is put on to form a bridged film across voids. This will minimize moisture penetration through these joints.

5. Use a flat or satin finish, high gloss finishes are not recommended.

Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:

1. Natural variations in the color or texture of wood.

2. Normal wear and tear, including wear-through of the finish or deterioration for reasons other than material and workmanship of the door itself.

3. Stained, or clear finished doors at exterior locations.

4. Shrinkage, swelling, small checks, and surface imperfections which may appear over time due to exposure to severe climate conditions.

5. Any condition arising from the Buyer's neglect or failure to properly maintain the door.

6. Any leakage around glazed portion of any door not glazed by Woodtech.

7. Doors with different species or finishes on either side.

8. Doors altered by others for size by re-railing or re-stiling.

9. Telegraphing or checking at exterior doors.

10. Failure at exterior doors associated with inadequate overhead protection from the elements.

NOTE: Action on any claim for warp or telegraphing defects may be deferred at the option of the manufacturer for a period not to exceed 12 months to permit conditioning of the doors to the local climate.

Woodtech Jambs
Jambs manufactured by Woodtech are warranted for the life of the building on interior openings and for two years on exterior openings from date of shipment. Any frame that becomes defective in accordance with the published warranty will be repaired or replaced. If repair or replacement is not practical, Woodtech will refund the full purchase price of the jamb. Upon receipt of the jambs by the customer, they will be subject to the conditions specified for doors as stated herein.
