| Introduction The Yale 4500DPS Series Overhead Concealed Door Control with door
position switch is designed to communicate a "door open" and/or "door
closed" situation to remote locations. It is especially useful in detention
facilities, warehouses, or other controlled access environments. The signal from the
4500DPS may also be used to activate other units such as security cameras and alarms.
As little as 1/4" movement of the door causes a lever
arm to activate a switch. Adjustment for the amount of door movement can be made without
removal of the unit from the frame.
Since the momentary contact switch is an integral part of
the 4500DPS door closer, it is highly tamper resistant. The closer, switch and conduit box
are not visible or accessible when the door is closed.
