Touchcode Operation

Basic Operation
The lock is programmed at the factory with an
emergency code combination, three (3) user code combinations (users 001,002 & 003),
plus an 8-digit Passcode which will be used whenever changes or additions to the
locks program are made. These codes and combinations are part of the programming
manual which is packed with the lock at the factory.
As you enter numbers to activate the lock, or to program
the lock, you will receive audible signals. There are three distinctly different sounds
generated by the lock to alert the programmer of the progress in keying-in a programming
sequence:
- Upon successful completion of each step in the programming
sequence, you will receive a tone (*).
- Upon the successful completion of the entire programming
string, the lock will acknowledge with a multi-tone sequence (***).
- If an error is detected during the course of entering a
program, a single low buzz will sound and the operation will abort.
Once the lock is activated, any valid 4 to
6 digit combination followed by the # key unlocks the outside knob or lever to permit
entrance. The outside trim will relock after a chosen number of seconds. Programming of
the lock is done at the keypad. A total of 16 individual combinations users (or groups of
users) can be programmed to activate the lock.
Following are the programmable functions:
- Add new user
- Change user combination
- Delete user
- Allow or delete deadbolt override by user combination (Some
Models)
- Change the passcode
- Activate or deactivate master lockout
- Users permission to change their own combination
- Activate or deactivate tamper delay
- Set solenoid unlock time
Battery Replacement
The inside battery cover is
easily removed for battery replacement. An optional rechargeable battery pack is
available. (see Page D-6)
Each lock contains a power pack of eight
"AA" batteries, lasting typically 6,000 operations, or one year. A low battery
tone alerts users well in advance of battery failure. |
