International Environmental Corporation Intl Environmental Corp. Int¿l Environmental Corp. - Fan Coils Heat Pipes
| WHY HEAT PIPE FAN COILS?
Prior to the development of IECs Heat Pipe Fan
Coils, it was difficult and expensive for conventional systems to dehumidify indoor
environments without incurring exorbitant energy costs. In traditional dehumidification
systems, relative humidity is lowered by overcooling the air with an air conditioner to
condense excess moisture from the air. Since the air temperature is then too cool for
comfort, it must be reheated with supplemental heat, such as electric heat, to achieve the
desired room temperature. The inherent flaw with this approach is that dehumidification
becomes expensive due to the considerable energy consumption required for operation. In
fact, with the emphasis on energy conservation today, many states have passed bans on
certain types of reheat dehumidification systems. When installed in a wrap-around
configuration enveloping the cooling coil, the heat pipe acts as a pre-cooler by
extracting heat from the entering air. By allowing cooler air to pass through the cooling
coil, more moisture can be condensed from the air. Then, as air exits the cooling coil,
the heat pipe provides reheat to the dehumidified air by returning heat extracted from the
entering air for a drier, more comfortable supply air. With the marriage of two superior
technologies - IECs fan coil and Heat Pipe Technologies, Inc.s innovative heat
pipe a superior dehumidification technology has emerged. The charm of heat pipes is that they possess the ability to
efficiently transfer large amounts of heat without the requirement for additional energy
input. |

WITH IECS HEAT PIPE FAN COILS, NOT ONLY CAN
YOU DEHUMIDIFY,
BUT YOU CAN DEHUMIDIFY WITHOUT
COMPROMISING ENERGY
EFFICIENCY.
