POLY-PRO®
PARTITIONS - Fabricated from compression molded, stress relieved, solid polymer resin that is ideal for heavy use where water, steam,
corrosion, and abuse are normal. The self-lubricating surface is resistant to marking by pens, pencils, most markers, and paints, and cleans
easily with ordinary household detergent. Its rigidity and quietness make it ideal for shower and toilet partition installations.
PANELS - Polymer resin, nominal 1" thick by 55" high and of required depth with uniformly machined radius edges. Panels are anchored to
front pilasters with a continuous bracket and to the wall with three double-ear brackets, all of heavy extruded brite anodized type 6463T5
aluminum.
DOORS - Nominal 1" thick by 55 " high and of the same construction as specified for dividing panels.
PILASTERS - Available in three styles - Congress, Senate, and Diplomat.
Congress Series - Floor Mounted, Overhead Braced - Nominal 1" thick by 82" high and of the same design and construction as specified
for dividing panels and doors. Pilasters are secured to the floor by means of 1/8" aluminum angle with 1-3/4" Pro-Star® fasteners into plastic
anchors. Top bracing is bright anodized aluminum channel 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" weighing no less than .75 pounds per linear foot of "anti-grip"
design to cap top of pilasters and secured on inside of compartment. Floor fasteners are concealed by 4" high, one-piece stainless steel
floor shoe.
Senate Series - Ceiling Hung -Nominal 1" thick and of the same design and construction as specified for dividing panels and doors.
Pilasters are secured to the ceiling by means of 1/2" x 1" x full width aluminum bar anchored to the top of the pilasters by means of two 3/8" x
2-1/2" bolts. Assembly is fastened to structural support member (by others) with 3/8" steel threaded rods. All ceiling fastening is concealed
by a 4" high, one-piece stainless steel shoe.
Diplomat Series - Floor and Ceiling Anchored - Nominal 1" thick and of the same design and construction as specified for dividing panels
and doors. Pilasters are secured to the floor and ceiling by means of 1/8" thick aluminum angle with 1" and 1-3/4" Pro-Star® tamper-proof
screws, all concealed under 4" high, one-piece stainless steel shoes.
HARDWARE - Compartments are supplied with all hardware and fasteners for a complete installation. Doors are installed with 1/8" thick
heavy extruded brite anodized type 6463T5 aluminum hinges which wrap around both the door and pilaster. Hinges are fastened to door and
pilaster with tamper-proof torx head thru-bolts and fastened to the edge of the door and pilaster with a #10 x 1" screw. Top hinges have
opposing nylon cams which are factory set at 30 degrees open for in-swing and closed for out-swing. Top hinge is reinforced with a 1/4"
stainless steel rod. Strike-keeper and throw latch are heavy extruded brite anodized type 6463T5 aluminum. Coat hook/wall bumper are
heavy chrome-plated Zamac and fastened with 3/4" one-way head tamper-proof screws.
FITTINGS - All brackets are heavy extruded brite anodized type 6463T5 aluminum. Wall fasteners are #14 x 1-3/4" Pro-Star® screws with
conical plastic anchors. All other fasteners are Pro-Star® tamper-proof screws (chrome plated brass tamper-proof torx head thru-bolts are
also available).
FINISH - Doors, panels, and pilasters are constructed of solid, homogenous polymer resin with uniform color throughout and special
mar-resistant PRO-304® finish as manufactured by Capitol Partitions, Inc. Available in colors as shown above. Colors printed are
reproductions. Call for actual color chart or sample materials.
NOTE - Specifications herein can be modified to include continuous brackets and continuous hinges.
