GENERAL

The C7770A Air Temperature Sensor is a direct wired temperature sensor that is used to sense discharge or return air in a duct that may be controlled by an Excel 10 Controller. The C7770A Sensor contains a temperature sensitive 20K ohm NTC nonlinearized thermistor.

Temperature Sensor Accuracy:

The C7770A is furnished with a 20K ohm nonlinear NTC temperature sensor that follows a specific  temperature-resistance curve. See Fig. 1. Honeywell controllers used with the C7770A employ an algorithm that provides readings close to the actual temperature. Table 2 summarizes the C7770A nonlinearized sensor accuracy for normal operating temperatures. Across the range of 41 to 99°F (5 to 37°C) the accuracy is better than ±0.75°F (±0.42°C).

Mounts on flat duct or plenum surface or, for a plenum-rated applications, in a standard utility conduit box.
