Air Sampling Tubes
The Duct Detector Housing uses an air sampling inlet tube
and an exhaust tube. Air sampling tubes are available in
lengths from 8 in. (200 mm) to 10 feet (3m) and must be
ordered separately. The Duct Detector Housing includes a
6 in. (150 mm) exhaust tube.
Detector Mounting Bases
Each Duct Detector Housing requires a detector mounting
base (ordered separately) to accommodate the intelligent
smoke detector. Available mounting bases are as follows:
Standard Base SIGA-SB–
Basic mounting base; supports the SIGA-LED Alarm LED.
Relay Base SIGA-RB–
Mounting base with dry contact relay (normally open or
normally closed) controlled by the intelligent smoke detector.
The relay is rated for 1A @ 30 Vdc (pilot duty). The relay
position is supervised. The Relay Base does not support the
SIGA-LED Alarm LED.
The relay operates as follows:
- At system power-up or reset, the relay is de-energized
- On installation of an intelligent smoke detector in the
Relay Base with the power on, the relay energizes for
4 seconds, then de-energizes.
- On removal of an intelligent smoke detector from a Relay
Base with the power on, the relay is de-energized.
- When the detector enters the alarm state, the relay is energized.
Isolator Base SIGA-IB–
Mounting base with built-in line fault isolator. A detector must
be installed to operate the fault isolator. The integral isolator relay is controlled by
the detector or the loop controller. One loop can support a maximum of 96 Isolator
Base. The Isolator Base does not support the SIGA-LED Alarm LED.
Alarm LED Indicator
The SIGA-LED Alarm LED Indicator can be installed remotely or directly on the
SIGA-DH Duct Housing to provide indication for the associated intelligent duct
detector. Only the SIGA-SB Standard detector base can use the SIGA-LED Alarm
LED Indicator. The Alarm LED Indicator includes a red LED on a 1-gang plastic
plate. A maximum of 1 SIGA-LED can operate per each detector.
Air Velocity Test Kit
The 6263-SG Air Velocity Test Kit interfaces to the SIGA-DH Duct Housing and is
used to test or confirm the air velocity in HVAC ducts. |
