The expansion of the Trinity Methodist Church in East Grinstead, England signals a new direction for the church and its congregation. The glowing and uplifting ambiance created by Kalwall® translucent sandwich panels beautifully illuminates that message.

The historic landmark, built in 1938, has undergone a series of renovations and new construction under the direction of CPL Architects of East Sussex to increase capacity and enhance the facility’s capabilities as a performance center.

The second phase of the project was a grand worship center featuring several sections of Kalwall curtainwall with operable glazing units at the top and a stunning pyramid skylight. The center is flooded with natural daylight by day and emanates a peaceful glow when lit at night.

While providing a lighting aesthetic ideal for a place of worship, Kalwall also offers privacy within the church and prevents both glare and shadows during the day. Together, the curtainwall and pyramid help create a modern and striking look to the exterior of the church.
