Kelly-Moore Paints’ ColorStudio Collection Now at San Francisco Design Center Showroom

San Francisco Bay Area-based Kelly-Moore Paint Company, Inc. today announced its newest innovative color system – The ColorStudio Collection is now at the San Francisco Design Center. The collection features more than 1,700 brand new paint colors reflecting the latest trends in today’s homes. These colors are inspired by the light, architecture, neighborhoods and lifestyles of the West.

Kelly-Moore’s San Francisco Design Center ColorStudio Showroom (Suite 212) invites professionals and interior designers, to visit and sample its newest colors and palettes.

“Kelly-Moore is an emerging leader in color,” said Dan Claybaugh, Kelly-Moore’s Vice President of Marketing. “Our goal with our color showroom, is to inspire the design community to think creatively about their projects and for Kelly-Moore to provide all the tools and support they need to do that. We spent a lot of time understanding how colors inspire creativity and as a result designed a ‘Wall of Color’ for our new ColorStudio Collection against a backdrop of KM5819 Rotunda White. From a distance when you first walk in, the color display almost mimics a piece of modern art. With its customized special effect but true lighting and its easy accessibility, the ‘Wall of Color’ is both inviting and serene simultaneously.  We trust our showroom will soon become a hub of inspiration for interior designers across the West."

Kelly-Moore’s showroom offers complimentary tools and services for the design community, including 3" x 4" and 8½" x 11" color samples. Kelly-Moore has made a special effort to make the color selection process simple by creating a tastefully designed color display, equipped with special 5000K overhead lighting that is a comfortable light for viewing color.

Each dry paint color sample is finished in a low sheen -- making it easy to see while reflecting its true rich shade. In addition, each color has its own card, rather than the standard eight colors per card, for added convenience.

Additionally for professionals, Kelly-Moore has specifically created a uniquely designed architectural color sample kit with leather handle, complete with an album of colors and index separated by color family to enhance client presentations. The approx. 1180 square foot showroom has a private conference space of approx. 160 square feet, available by appointment for designers to meet, chat and explore colors in daylight and comfort with their clients.

Unveiled earlier this year in April, The ColorStudio Collection was created and curated by Kelly-Moore Paints’ Manager of Color Marketing Mary Lawlor. Each color is made with zero-VOC colorants, allowing Kelly-Moore’s products to maintain excellent interior air quality during application as well as peak performance.

“The ColorStudio Collection is designed to meet designer’s color needs, now and into the future,” said Lawlor. “The ColorStudio Collection is a color system for our marketplace. When creating our paint colors, we put extra emphasis on simplicity and functionality – these colors are ones you can actually use and select with confidence.” 

Kelly-Moore’s 1,721 new colors present endless color combinations. The ColorStudio Collection is a comprehensive color system with an additional five specialty palettes:

• California Lifestyles Palette: This new palette of 140 harmonious colors represents classic California neighborhoods and the West. This is a natural living palette with a refined and rich sense of place.

• First Impressions Off-White Palette: This palette, with 70 soft and subtle sheer whites, blends beautifully with other colors in the system. Inspired by the Western light, these colors are perfect for painters wanting to play it safe.

• Accents Palette: This palette of 91 accent colors brings pop to any room. These deep, vibrant accent colors add excitement and infuse energy yet are safe and traditional and work well for both interiors and exteriors.

• Historic Lifestyles of the West Palette: The Historic Lifestyles of the West palette (and brochure) features 106 historically accurate and modern regional color adaptations that bring an authentic flavor to both modern and historical homes designed in six Western architectural styles spanning 110 years: Victorian, English Revival, Spanish Revival, Arts & Crafts, Jazz Age and Retro.

• Classic Colors Palette:  This palette of 26 interior & exterior ready-mixed paint colors is the largest number of stock colors available of any paint company.

Additionally, Kelly-Moore has curated seven Inspired Living mini-palettes available in Inspired Living Cards featuring suggested color combinations throughout the home.
