Sierra Pacific Industries Announces Promotions in its Windows Division

Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) today announced that Tom Takach has joined the company as Vice President of Operations for the Windows Division of Sierra Pacific Industries – a family owned and operated wood products business headquartered in Anderson, CA. In this new position, Takach will oversee manufacturing and operations for Sierra Pacific’s Red Bluff, CA Windows Plant as well as the two newly acquired Hurd and Superseal Window and Door plants in Wisconsin.

Takach joins SP Windows with over 21 years of experience in the window and door industry – much of which was earned with Jeld-Wen, one of the largest producers of windows and doors in the United States. “We are pleased that Tom has joined Sierra Pacific at a time when we are expanding our sales and manufacturing capabilities” said Kendall Pierson, President of Sierra Pacific Windows. “His background and experience have prepared him for managing the increases in sales and production we expect at our Red Bluff and Hurd facilities,” Pierson added.

Sierra Pacific also announced that Bob Taylor has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development and Customer Service for its Window Division. Taylor played a key role in the success of the SP Window and Door operations and was previously the Plant Manager at the SP Windows Plant in Red Bluff, CA. “The company will benefit from Bob’s 23 years of experience as we expand into new markets for our products” noted Pierson. “Bob's vast knowledge of our production processes and sales operations will be a great asset in the expansion of our window and door production,” added Pierson.

Sierra Pacific has promoted Dominic Truniger to the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing for its Windows Division; including Sierra Pacific, Hurd and Superseal windows and doors. Truniger joined SPI as part of the company’s recent purchase of HWD Acquisition (dba Hurd Windows & Doors). As President and CEO of Hurd since 2006, he successfully guided the Hurd® brand to double its market share. “We are excited about Dom’s branding expertise and proven track record at Hurd,” stated Pierson. “We’re anticipating that kind of success for our entire window line.” Truniger has 32 years of experience in the window and door industry. Prior to Hurd, he held sales and marketing leadership roles with Jeld-Wen®, Crestline® and Semco®.
