Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise (CNE), a nonprofit housing organization, was born out of Vision 2000 – Chattanooga’s glimpse into its future – a future that would include comprehensive neighborhood revitalization at the center of its vision for improving housing conditions in the city. CNE opened its doors in 1986 with a mission to provide all Chattanoogans with the opportunity to live in decent, fit and affordable housing and, in the process, eliminate substandard housing in Chattanooga.
