Thanks to its great thermal performance and its operational capabilities, Vision Control® offers significant energy savings, which result in an important decrease in capital cost and annual operational energy cost.
Predominantly used in healthcare facilities and institutional environments (schools, museums, auditoriums, banks, offices etc.), Vision Control® provides unlimited design options for both exterior and interior use, and can adapt to a multitude of applications such as interior partitions, doors, skylights, curtain walls and windows. Shapes are not limited to rectangles; Vision Control® units are also available in triangular and trapezoidal shapes.

Control of daylight
Vision Control® manages the quantity and quality of light transmission through fenestration. Thanks to the precise control mechanism, the louvers can rotate 180 degrees, no matter if they are installed horizontally or vertically. By the simple rotation of the louvers, Vision Control® contributes to a better natural light distribution within the room. Even when half-opened, the amount of interior light is pleasantly noticeable.
Moreover, the optical property of the Vision Control® louver surface helps reduce glare and protects against fading due to damaging UV rays. This makes Vision Control® the ideal wall application for art galleries, museums, and libraries where light control is an absolute necessity.
Control of heat
Vision Control® controls the heat flow resulting from conduction and solar exposure. Thanks to the fingertip control mechanism (manual or electric) which allows louvers to rotate 180 degrees, the quantity and quality of light transmission is effectively controlled.
Opened, Vision Control® will block heat more efficiently than most glass products while offering a perfect light reveal. Closed, Vision Control® blocks solar exposure to almost 100% and acts as a shield against heat during peak hot summer periods.
When installed in exterior applications, Vision Control® provides significant thermal performance and substantial energy savings, resulting in an important decrease in capital cost and annual operational energy cost. Vision Control® functions as a reflecting medium to reduce excessive solar heat, thereby reducing air conditioning requirements. Vision Control® ensures a comfortable indoor temperature level all year round and contributes to reducing cooling power consumption.
Thanks to these energy-saving features, Vision Control® helps architectural projects qualify for LEED credits (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
Control of sound
Sound control is especially required in schools, libraries, and office buildings, where concentration is crucial, as well as airports, museums, and auditoriums where peace and quiet are also essential.
With the unique properties of Vision Control®, sound is controlled far more efficiently. Increasing the depth of the airspace in an insulated glass also increases the acoustical performance of the unit. Vision Control®’s 2" and 2.5" airspaces, coupled with 2 glass lites of varying thicknesses, generate sound damping characteristics far superior to any standard dual-pane unit.
