National Gypsum Website Features Sustainability Information

 

National Gypsum Company launched its new “Green Site” today –www.ngc-green.com. Architects, product specifiers, customers, and the general public can find practical information on how the company’s products, processes, and plant network contribute to make positive contributions to green building practices. The new site includes many tools starting with the Product Sustainable Features page listing National Gypsum wallboard plants, their use of recycled content, and the distance between the plant and its source of gypsum.

Other website tools include:

  • An interactive map allowing the user to scroll over a plant location to see if a job site is within a 500-mile radius of the plant’s shipping area.
  • A project gallery spotlights unique green building projects using National Gypsum products.
  • NGC product listing is a click away as well as information about certifications including the company’s GREENGUARD Certifications. These verify that NGC products meet the highest standards for indoor air quality.
  • The company’s sustainable manufacturing processes are detailed.
  • The site links users to valuable resources including the NGC Gypsum Construction Guide; the Gypsum Association Sustainability site; the USGBC site; Code Reports, Assembly Drawings; and the Fire & Sound Selector Guide.

“The new site will evolve and introduce new information regularly,” said Mundise Mortimer, manager, Technical Marketing. “We want project designers and specifiers to have all the information they need to design the walls and ceilings for their projects.”
