The Honeywell Intelliguard 5600 Control/Communicator is an easy-to-use security system that provides quality security for businesses with standard protection needs at an affordable price.

The flexibility of the 5600 allows the monitoring of several different types of protection affordably in one control. Your choice of burglary, hold-up, and critical equipment monitoring can be provided on the standard six points of protection.

In addition, the 5600 can be expanded up to 22 points of protection to enhance the identification of the type and location of an alarm or service problem and to help accurately direct the response. False alarms from troublesome areas can be reduced with cross zoning and partner points. Users can activate the watch feature for any point to provide an alert with a short tone when someone has opened a door or tripped a motion detector.

Two different types of Control Centers let users quickly and easily perform system operations such as arming, disarming, and system test. With both, function keys make routine operations simple.

The Model 5600 Control Center provides simple LED displays for operating basic systems. The Model 565 Control Center's LCD display with two lines of alphanumeric text provides detailed point descriptions for larger system operation. Your can mix and match multiple control centers on the same system.

The Control Center's passcode operation provides added security and accountability. Passcodes, which can be 3 to 6 digits in length, are assigned an authority level to restrict selected users to a limited set of system functions. For convenience and flexibility, you can assign a passcode to a user that can be used, to disarm, only once.

Your system can be monitored by a Honeywell Customer Service Center where operators are on duty 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, to provide the appropriate response to alarm and trouble signals.

The 5600 has received approvals from various agencies, providing assurance that it meets the required industry standards.

STANDARD FEATURES

Multiple Protection Services: Can provide burglary, hold-up and critical equipment failure notification from a single, centrally monitored system.

Multiple Control Centers: Point and system status annunciation is provided through the 565 LCD or 560 LED Control Centers. The 565's user friendly interface features a 2-line by 16 character alphanumeric display to help guide the user through system  operation. The 560 uses clearly visible LEDs to display status for up to eight points. The 5600 supports up to eight control centers.

Passcode Access: A personal passcode must be entered to complete all system commands to help prevent unauthorized use. Up to 8 individual passcodes are available. Passcodes may be assigned one of three authority levels to limit each user to only the commands needed. One of the authority levels allows you to authorize a  passcode to disarm one-time only.

Simple Operation: Function keys provide a simple way to arm the system, either completely or partially. Employees who work late can arm PART of the protection points. When leaving, they can arm ALL of the remaining points without having to disarm by pressing the ALL ON function key and entering their passcode. Similarly, employees who arrive early can simply switch to PART protection by pressing the PART ON function key and entering their passcode.

Watch Mode: You can turn on the Watch mode, which automatically sounds a short beep when certain points are violated. This alerts you to someone entering or leaving when the system is disarmed. You choose which points to be watched from the control center.

Expandable Protection: The basic system provides 6 points and can be expanded up to 22 points. Each expansion module provides 8 additional points. Some points will always be armed such as hold-up buttons or devices that monitor critical equipment and/or processes. Others may be programmed to be armed through the control center function keys.

System Testing: Simple commands allow the owner to "walk test" the burglary protection points and to perform testing of the control components including the battery and the communicator.

OPTIONAL FEATURES

Honeywell Monitoring: The 5600 can be programmed to report your systems opening and closing events with user identification in addition to point trouble, bypass and alarms.

Duress Signaling: One of the 8 passcodes can be used to inconspicuously advise the Honeywell Customer Service Center of a problem in the event that you are forced to deactivate the system by an intruder.

Remote Account Manager: The Honeywell Customer Service Center can access your system via the telephone line to make your required changes.

Relays: There are two multipurpose programmable outputs used to implement auxiliary functions such as annunciation or accessory equipment interface.

Wireless (RF): Interfaces with supervised RF receivers. RF device options include door contacts, motion, glassbreak or low temperature sensors, and portable panic buttons.

Access: An access controller can be interconnected to allow disarming of the alarm system when access is granted.
