Network Compatible PM7600B Variable Air Volume Program Module for W7600


The PM7600B Program Module allows the W7600 System to control discharge air temperature and duct static pressure in variable air volume air handling applications by modulating, energizing and de-energizing fan, heating and cooling stages. It also monitors discharge air, space air, outside air, mixed air and condenser water inlet temperatures.

System Description


PM7600B PROGRAM MODULE DESCRIPTION
    The PM7600B Program Module is an EPROM used with the Network Compatible W7600 Control System. The program module
must be installed in the W7600A-F 2XXX Control Module only. The PM7600B is factory-installed in specific W7600 models.
    The PM7600B Program Module allows the W7600 to precisely control discharge air (DA) temperature and static pressure in a variable air volume (VAV) application. Along with basic temperature and static pressure control, the PM7600B may also be programmed to control condenser pumps and economizers. Also, it controls safety features such as compressor lockout on high or low refrigerant pressure, fan failure and dirty filter;
    Additional networking features include:
    � Network time-of-day control of assigned digital outputs for use in lighting control and other applications.
    � Demand limit control via change of discharge air temperature setpoint from a network-provided digital input.
    � Programmable zone specific time-of-day bypass to the occupied state using the W7620 VAV box controller.
    The S7600A Keyboard Display Module is used to program and monitor discharge air temperature, static pressure, space and outdoor air temperatures, and all alarms and setpoints. The PM7600B contains the control options, control program and application-specific screens for the S7600A.
    The PM7600B Software provides options for W7600/ W7601 analog and digital inputs and outputs. These monitoring and control points are used for operation of a basic VAV System. Input and output points must be configured using the ZM7601 or ZM7603 software package and an MS-DOS compatible PC. See Fig. I for a typical VAV application.

W7600 CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
    The Network Compatible W7600 Control System provides a complete network of direct digital control using a two-wire RS-485 bus. The Q7640 Network Interface Unit provides the communication capability on the network, as well as remote communication through an external modem. The network allows sharing outdoor air temperature and other data between controllers, reducing the wiring and accessory costs of the installation. Additional features of the Q7640 NIU include trend logging, alarm dialout to remote personal computers and remote monitoring capability.
    Control functions are provided through the W7600 Control Module. The PM7600B Program Module is an EPROM that resides in the W7600 and provides customized software for VAV Systems. Each model of the PM7600 contains algorithms and control strategies designed to control a specific type of equipment. The W7600 controls by monitoring analog and digital inputs, processing the PM7600 algorithms and controlling the analog or digital outputs provided in the W7600 Control Module.
    The W7601 Module allows for expansion of inputs and outputs. The R7600 Relay Module is connected to the W7600 or W7601 to provide digital outputs. Local monitoring and programming of the W7600 is provided by the S7600 Keyboard Display Module. The Q7601 Setpoint Module is designed to allow setpoint control from a standard potentiometer rather than from the S7600.
