Excel Security Manager (R610) Part - 4. CSI 3-Part Specifications.

Excel Security Manager (R610)

Photo ID
A key part of a security management system is identifying cardholders. Excel Security Manager provides a photo identification and badge making option called Excel PhotoID.  The optional Excel PhotoID can run stand-alone or integrated with the Excel Security Manager card holder database. Excel PhotoID can be networked with multiple operator stations that access a central database over a local or wide area network.  Cardholder data in Excel PhotoID is automatically synchronized with the cardholder data in Excel Security Manager. This ensures maximum efficiency and eliminates duplicate data entry.

Excel PhotoID allows the creation of high-quality photo identification badges to be printed with card holder images and signatures. Images and signatures are captured using the latest multimedia technology. Excel PhotoID conforms to Microsoft's Multimedia Control Interface (MCI) and TWAIN standards providing the flexibility in choosing video cameras, digital cameras, or scanners. Excel PhotoID stores card images in different formats including TGA, JPEG, and FIF (Fractal Image Format). Images and data can be imported and exported to other systems.

Excel PhotoID is totally flexible. Fields can be added or deleted from the card holder database. Creation of multiple, different card holder databases can store different information such as staff and visitors. Customized card layouts can incorporate images, signatures, information, and the company logo. Printing can be to any Windows compatible printer. Excel PhotoID allows automatic printing of different card layouts for different personnel. Using the latest direct card printers, users can print directly onto access control cards.

Quick Builder
The Excel Security Manager is implemented using an extremely flexible and powerful engineering tool called Quick Builder. Based on a relational database, Quick Builder allows both "novice" and "power users" to configure points, controllers, operator stations, and printers for the system.  Those less experienced benefit from the intuitive interface and on-line help and can start their project by modifying a sample database. As expertise develops, users can take advantage of the many powerful features of Quick Builder such as filtering and multiple point editing. Quick Builder ensures systems are implemented quickly and easily.

Graphic Display Builder Editor
The Graphic Display Builder Editor is an object based, fully integrated custom display builder for development of site specific graphical floor plans, displays, and alarm handling procedures. The Graphic Display Builder Editor operates on an XSM operator station or the core computer.

Animation of displays is completed quickly with simple point and click operations. For example to create a button on a display that calls another display, the user simply clicks on the button icon, draws the required size button, double clicks on it, and enters the target page.

Static objects include text, rectangles, arcs, and circles.  Dynamic objects include text, push buttons, indicators, charts, check boxes, combo boxes, and scroll bars. Dynamic objects are linked to database points by double clicking and choosing the point ID from a list box, allowing the display to show the doors, locks, readers, and cameras in the facility. Dynamic objects allow an operator to interact with them to make changes in the database and to perform control actions.

A library of common symbols and indicators used in a security system is available to further speed graphic development.  Users can copy and paste objects within and between displays. In addition, process objects and color palettes allow quick and easy creation of custom display objects with or without 3D effects. Live video elements can be placed directly in any custom display at any size, using the live video tool.

Additions or modifications to displays can be made while the system is on-line. Alternatively, changes can be made off-line and downloaded to an Excel Security Manager system even if it is remotely located.
