Remember the ship from 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest'? Or the John Harvard statue that students gathered around during the hazing scene in 'The Social Network'? What about the boat dock from the Hollywood version of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'? Each one of those constructions was coated with the resurfacing and texturing product Bond-Kote, from Super-Krete Products Inc., a concrete overlay manufacturer based in El Cajon, California.

The Flying Dutchman pirate ship - Davey Jone's' haunted ship from Disney's Pirates of the Carribbean II and III. This 175 foot existing steel ship was coated with Super-Krete Bond-Kote. Styrofoam mollusks, sea urchins and other sea life were embedded into the Bond-Kote to create the aged, weatherd appearance. This project was a true test for Super-Krete products, having been the chosen product by Disney masons for the challenge. Bond-Kote resisted salt water deterioration for over two years during the creation and filming of the movies. The Bond-Kote ship stood without cracking through Hurricane Wilma, and bonded to the steel without delamination. Super-Krete products are a product of choice in Hollywood. Also used for Taladega Nights, Oceans 13, Angels & Demons, Prison Break, Shark, Monster House and many other hit tv series and films.
