REMOVABLE STORM SHUTTERS

ALUMINUM CEILING HEADER FOR OVERHEAD INSTALLATIONS
The headers fasten to existing cantilevers or ceilings to hold your shutters firmly during all weather conditions. They are available in clear anodized or electrostatically painted white or medium bronze.

ALUMINUM HEADER & SILL FOR WALL INSTALLATION
These members can be a permanent part of your home or building or can be removable.

ALUMINUM SILL WITH FLOOR ANGLE
This sill fastens to an existing slab or floor as a permanent or removable installation.

INSTALLATION
Either special spring tempered stainless steel clips, keyhole washers or wing nuts can be used to hold your storm shutters firmly in place.

STORM SHUTTER STORAGE
Our Storm Shutters stack 10 per inch of space.

Precision roll-formed structural panels are available in various gauges of aluminum or galvanized steel for use over glass doors, windows, and storefronts. These panels provide protection from storms and security from vandalism or malicious mischief.

STORM PANEL CHART

DESIGN CRITERIA:
These Storm Panels are designed and tested in accordance with Sec. 3511 of the So. Fla. Bldg. Code. Recovery at Test Load¿ 80% min.
NOTES: Deflection Limit at 1.5. Safety Factor from Test Load¿ I/80
1) Anchors to conc. shall be 1/4"x1" Drive Nails for permanent type installation and 1/4"-20 bolts in Star Tampin for removable installation.
2) Steel panels shall have a min. U.S. = 40,000 psi and U.S. = 60,000 psi. Alum. panels shall be alloy 3003-H16.
3) Panels may be mounted horizontally as well as vertically using clear span.
4) Anchors in conc. shall be placed 1-1/2" clear to edge of conc.
5) All storm panels exceeding a clear span of 6'0" shall have 1/4"-20 bolts connecting panel located at midspan.

ROLL-UP SHUTTERS
Roll-Up Shutters come with an all aluminum frame-work and are available in PVC, foam-filled aluminum, and extruded aluminum slats.
