Agriboard Industries, the leading developer of Compressed Agricultural Fiber Structural Panels (CAFP) for use in commercial and residential construction, today announced plans to design and produce seven modular homes for shipment to Port-O-Prince, Haiti, by mid April.

This project is headed up by Mr. Ron Ryan, of Ryan Development Company, LLC, owner of Agriboard, in conjunction with the outreach efforts of The Sheridan Hills Baptist Church of Hollywood, Florida and the Free Methodist Church, of Burlington, Iowa.

Agriboard panelized construction will enable easy assembly of these exceptionally strong buildings and are ideal to withstand the harsh tropical weather. Three of the buildings will be constructed with Agriboard’s patented CAF panels; four with a combination of affordable recycled metal and compressed agricultural fiber.

Many of these congregations have strong ties with family and friends in Haiti, so this humanitarian effort was generously supported in their outreach programs. All homes will be used in their ministry programs in Haiti -- six for The Sheridan Hills Baptist Church and one for The Free Methodist Church.

This green/sustainable product is gaining wide acceptance in the U.S. because it’s 97% green and has a negative carbon footprint.
