Boon Edam Inc, the leading manufacturer of security entrance solutions in North America, has launched the Tourlock 120M, a new, 3-wing manual security revolving door at the ASIS International 2011 show in Orlando, Florida.
The Tourlock 120M is three-wing, manually operated security revolving door that, similar to a full height turnstile, allows bi-directional traffic to pass through it in one direction at a time. Upon a valid authorization from any access control system, the door rotates 120 degrees to allow just one user to enter the secure area. A sophisticated overhead sensor system detects the occurrence of an unauthorized entry attempt in the opposite compartment and stops the door from rotating completely to allow entry. The Tourlock 120M is ideally suited for unsupervised, internal areas with modest traffic flow that require a high degree of aesthetic appeal, such as employee entrances and parking garages for Class A office buildings, or transitional areas from non-secure to secure areas in larger office buildings.
The Tourlock 120M is the now the third security revolving door in the Tourlock family of doors. The two other doors are fully automatic: the four-wing, Tourlock 180+90 and the three-wing Tourlock 120A. Both of these doors provide automatic rotation with start-up sensors, anti-tailgating overhead detection and safety sensors. The new Tourlock 120M offers stylish, fully enclosed, anti-tailgating protection for moderate throughput applications where automatic operation is not required.
