dmf Lighting introduces Fahrenheit, a unique, fire-rated, series of recessed downlights. Designed for cost savings and ease of installation, Fahrenheit is ideal for residential and commercial buildings where fire-rated fixtures are required such as multi-unit, healthcare, and hospitality applications. Its patented technology eliminates the need to build fire rated fixtures on a job site – greatly reducing installation time and costs.

The Fahrenheit Series has been put through rigorous thermal testing and is UL classified for a one hour fire rating. Key to the fire rating is the non-combustible and flexible matt insulation inside the housing. The insulation is self-extinguishing and deters flame spread, fuel contribution and smoke development in fire situations for up to 60 minutes.

Fahrenheit carries a UL listing for IC installations and comes in 3, 4, 5 and 6 inch sizes. All sizes can accommodate a variety of trims. Available lamp options include compact fluorescent, low voltage halogen and line voltage incandescent and halogen GU10.
