MarShield says farewell to Big Momma the Mobile Lead Lined Shielding Barrier

Marshield is very sad to say farewell to our Big Momma. She is a big beautiful Mobile Lead Lined Shielding Barrier with unruly dimensions of 7 1/2 feet tall and 6 feet wide ! She is constructed of two 1/16″ lead equivalency panels fabricated of a single un-pierced sheet of pure lead (99.9%) laminated between two ABS Plastic (washable) panels balanced for stability with heavy duty outrigger type legs. The lead panels are housed in a mild carbon steel frame with a powder coat beige (’cause Big Momma liked to tan) paint finish.

At eye level Big Momma has a 6 foot wide by 3 foot high viewing panel of 1/16″ lead equivalency safety lead glass (laminated glass with interlayer) which is shatter resistant and meets the requirements of ANSI Z97.1-1984 & 16 CFR 1201 Cat. II . This mobile shielding barrier unit is supplied with smooth rolling heavy duty swivel casters that are easily locked into position when required and which can be removed to become a stationary unit that is fastened down directly to the floor.

Big Momma is destined for a US University campus where she will be part of a research facility and she was so big that we had to lay her down on her side for her trip to her new home.

So give the experts at MarShield a call (800-381-5355) if you have a BIG custom radiation shielding problem to solve!
