New IG2 Photo Optic System by Miller Edge Receives UL Recognition

The new Miller Edge IG2 thru beam photo optic system has passed UL325 testing and received status as a UL325 Recognized Component. IG2 sends an invisible beam of light from a transmitting unit to a receiving unit. The light beam is intended to function as a protective line guarding a potentially hazardous zone. When the light beam is interrupted by an obstruction, a signal is sent to the motor controls to stop or reverse motion of an automated door or gate.

The aesthetically designed IG2 offers a variety of electrical and photo optic configurations available to suit an assortment of applications. Power configurations include both wired and battery powered emitting units; battery powered versions offer labor saving installation and eliminate the need to run wire across the opening. The IG2 is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.

IG2 includes on-board diagnostics to monitor proper power and alignment. Universal mounting brackets allow for vertical or horizontal mounting on the ground or wall. Mounting options include flexible pedestal stands and ergonomic protective boot covers. IG2 has a response time of less than 20 milli-seconds and may be used to span openings up to 50 feet wide.
