The expansion of Hankook Tire’s 2.2 million sq. ft. (≈204,400m²) manufacturing campus in Clarksville, Tennessee, required deep mat foundations capable of supporting heavy industrial loads and continuous vibration from tire production equipment.

The concrete foundations were also exposed to high moisture and hydrostatic conditions due to the large footprint and variable subsurface environment, making integral waterproofing and long-term durability essential.

To address these demands, Xypex Admix C-1000NF was incorporated directly into the concrete mix supplied by Concrete Strategies, LLC. Crystalline technology reacts with water and unhydrated cement particles to form a permanent, non-soluble structure within the concrete matrix. This reaction seals capillaries, resists hydrostatic pressure, and self-heals micro-cracks, providing continuous protection against water ingress and chemical attack throughout the service life of the foundation.
