AMBICO acoustic steel doors and frames combine outstanding sound transmission loss with the appearance of standard hollow metal products. Doors are provided complete with acoustic steel frames, perimeter and bottom seals.

Testing of acoustic door/frame assemblies by independent laboratories complies with the most up-to-date standards on the continent. Fire labelled products have been tested in accordance with NFPA-80 and are certified by Underwriters Laboratories and Warnock Hersey International. Fire labelled products may be supplied in singles or in pairs.

Soundproof steel doors are available 1 3/4″ thick from STC 33 to STC 53. Soundproof doors are available at greater thicknesses from STC 54 to STC 64.

Assemblies have been designed to accept readily available heavy weight builders hardware. Soundproof steel doors are available with acoustic glazing that is factory pre-installed. Radio frequency shielding is also available for acoustic resistant doors upon request to reduce the amount of radio-frequency and/or electromagnetic energy across an opening. Additionally, bullet resistance is available in combination with acoustic resistant openings for heightened security applications.

Our SCIF compliant acoustic door and frame assemblies are manufactured for your security related needs in compliance with DCID 6/9.

Doors and frames have been tested as a assembly and are supplied with acoustic perimeter and bottom seals. Stock acoustic soundproof wood doors and steel frames are ready for immediate shipment.

Soundproof Doors are available 1 3/4″ thick from STC 33 to STC 50. Soundproof Doors are available at greater thicknesses from STC 51 to STC 56.

Face veneers are available in a variety of paint grade or stain grade options including birch, oak, walnut, maple and cherry. Door edges match the veneer of the door face.

Door thickness will vary depending on acoustic rating and the size of the opening. Units are supplied complete with perimeter gasketing system and all operable hardware. Electric operators are available. Doors are available with acoustic glazing that is factory pre-installed.

Windows are available at STC levels ranging from STC 30 to STC 56. Windows can be manufactured as part of a custom glazed system suitable for integration into the interior fit up or building envelope.

Windows have been designed to accept readily available glazing provided as an integral portion of a fully complete window unit.
