Project Snapshot
- The Conneaut Lake Join Municipal Authority is completing a $15 million, two-year modernization of its wastewater treatment facility to replace aging infrastructure.
- The project includes a new influent pump station, 2,500 linear feet of HDPE force main, refurbishment of an existing pump station and future advanced water treatment improvements designed to reduce nutrient loading into Conneaut Lake and protect its ecosystem.
BILCO Products
- BILCO supplied seven floor access doors equipped with fall protection grating, including three reinforced floor doors designed for AASHTO H-20 wheel loading with channel frames and debris gaskets to help prevent water infiltration.
- The project also incorporated an 8-foot by 8-foot roof hatch to facilitate the installation of large pumping equipment while providing long-term maintenance access.
BILCO provided critical support to the project by supplying durable floor access doors and a roof hatch. Designed for demanding environments, these products improve maintenance access, enhance worker safety and play an important role in supporting the efficient operation and long-term success of the upgraded treatment facility.
“The floor doors allow operators to easily access the press and pumps that are in the station. We have familiarity with the BILCO products, and we are confident in their quality. In particular, our design engineer, Diane Altland, has had a great relationship with them and she specifies them as often as she can.” Jim Protin, Rosewood Tower Consulting Associate.
